Our New Identity: 6° Network for Women

You may have noticed some changes on our website and our social media channels. Our organisation’s name is changing from 6° Academy for Women to 6° Network for Women. This is the result of more than four years experience in the field, with the communities we work with in Nepal, and with our partners.

The new organisation will support our multifaceted approach to provide sustainable programmes to marginalised women through business start-ups, business consultancy and skills development. We also encourage community commitment and ownership through our Pay-it-Forward programme in order to expand social networks and increase the positive impact to communities.

6° Network for Women operates along four pillars:

  1. 6° Ventures supports marginalised women in setting up social businesses and start-ups.

  2. 6° Academy offers customised skills development programmes that will help the women succeed.

  3. 6° Pay-it-Forward focuses on grassroots women empowerment campaigns where our graduates and candidates give back through their participation in awareness campaigns and contributing to our Pay-it-Forward fund.

  4. Connecting Hands by 6° offers emergency relief support.

Learn more about each pillar on our new projects page. We look forward to the next big step for our organisation and we hope you will continue to join us in this journey and support us along the way.

On behalf of the marginalised women of Nepal and our 6° team, we thank you for your support which has allowed us to initiate and complete many projects so far.
